'Wafla Cardigan' Knit Drop Shoulder

US$8.00

I love a pattern that has details to keep the knitting interesting and a few rest rows so that things don’t get too tedious. Wafla is all of that and more. This open front cardigan includes widely spaced cables, all over mistake rib, and garter trim for texture. Then for the ultimate in wearability, the flaps are generous and overlapping, the drop shoulder keeps it casual, and the drape front means that it’ll be perfect for jammies, jeans, and khakis alike.

For the is updated version, I added two more sizes: 60” and 64” chest. Also, I’ve adjusted the cable motif. For the light blue sample, crossings happen every 18th row. For the new, dark blue sample, crossings happen every 14th row.

Finished Size 31.5 (36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60, 64)“ bust/chest circumference. Light blue sweater shown in 40” with 3” of positive ease. Dark blue sweater shown in 36” with no ease.

Yarn Worsted , 100% American Sourced Superwash Rambouillet Wool; 196yds/115g.
Or any plied wool.
Yardage estimates 880 (980, 1110, 1222, 1398, 1525, 1700, 1885, 1976)

Needles Size 9 (5.5 mm) 24”-60”/60-152cm circular (cir) depending on chest size and needles in preferred size for small circumference knitting in the round. Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Cable needle, stitch holders, stitch markers, spare circular needle, removable marker, row counter; tapestry needle.
