'Check Marks the Spot' Knit shawl
As I was sketching this shawl, it immediately looked like a checkmark to me. I wanted something with unique shaping but would still be very wearable. For this shawl, you will knit a mix of slipped stitch ribbing, a simple eyelet, and a large cable which allows the yarn to shine in every possible way. Once you get going, it’s pretty intuitive but you’ll never get bored.
There are multiple things happening at once so this shawl is intermediate level.
Details: This narrow shawl is knit all in one piece from end to end. There is a simple cable running along the top. A slipped stitch rib pattern makes up both edges and then in the last sections of the shawl, the ribbing slowly takes over. Instructions are written, no charts. The shawl is designed to use up both skeins.
Size: 86” along top edge by 19” at widest part
Yarn: 2 skeins 100% SWM, DK weight
Needles: US 8/5.0 mm
This pattern is for PERSONAL USE ONLY.
